Jonathan grew up in restaurants. He started washing dishes and cooking at age 15 and never looked back. At age 21, he graduated with a degree from the prestigious University of Denver Hospitality School. And since then, he worked his way up from Kitchen Manager to Assistant Manager to Restaurant Manager to Area Director to Franchise Consultant to Vice President of Operations of a multi-concept 28-unit chain and now owner of Rough Draft Restaurant Group.
Jonathan has hired hundreds of managers and supervised thousands of staff members, so he knows “what right looks like.” Along the way Jonathan supervised the highest volume store at Applebee’s … that’s #1 out of nearly 2,000 locations. He went on to do the same thing at Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurants … supervising the #1 store out of 180 locations. But Jonathan’s success is about so much more than sales numbers, because everywhere he goes his restaurants consistently win the most prestigious franchise awards for culture, service and guest satisfaction.
